During those years, he was also a Clinical Instructor in the Primary Care Externship Program at the University of Waterloo for student Optometrists. He has been involved in multiple student volunteer programs helping those achieve their goals of becoming a practicing Optometrist.

Dr. Lukito has now had the privilege of practicing in Guelph for 15
years. He continues to love serving his community in Primary Eye Care, and has recently extended his Scope of Practice to include Concussion Management and Vision Therapy.

I want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.

I received my HBSc in Biochemistry and Neuroscience from University of Toronto in 2013, graduating with high distinction. After several years in the field, I switched my career path to healthcare where I wanted to better improve people’s lives. In 2020, I graduated from University of Waterloo Dean’s Honours List with my Doctor of Optometry degree. I completed an ocular disease externship in the city of Meadow Lake, rural Saskatchewan.

Due to its remote location, I received extensive training in managing ocular emergencies and chronic eye diseases like diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and uveitis.
My special interest lies in managing ocular disease, but preventative care is my passion, and I routinely see patients of all ages. I passionately believe in understanding your own health, and I do my very best to explain your exam results and encourage you to ask questions.

In my spare time, I enjoy sharpening my culinary skills and palate; a fancy way to say I love food.

Hey Friend!

Here’s a little bit about me:

I was raised in Windsor Ontario and currently live with my husband and cat here in Guelph. I graduated from the University of Guelph’s Bachelor of Bio-Resource program before deciding to pursue Vision Therapy. I obtained my vision therapy certification through the Optometric Extension Program Foundation and am a member of Vision Therapy Canada where I am currently studying their Practical Vision Therapy Accreditation Program (PVTAP) program. I am passionate about patient-oriented care, helping people in their healing process and improving the quality of life of people with unmet visual needs. In my spare time, I like to read and spend as much time outside as possible.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Hello everyone!

I currently live in Waterloo with my boyfriend and 2 cats! I went to the University of Waterloo for Geography and Aviation and currently have my Private Pilots License with over 200 flight hours under my belt! I've flown to many places in Ontario such as Owen Sound, Goderich and even done rounds around the CN Tower!

I've always loved working in the medical field and helping people wherever I can! I've always found a sense of happiness and affirmation when I see a smile on our patient's face after their visit and I aim to make every patient feel welcome and satisfied with their visit when they come to our office. You can always rely on me for all you administration needs when it comes to billing your insurance company, checking your OHIP coverage to tracking your referrals and much more!

In my free time, I enjoy working on my car, hanging out with my cats, and cooking or playing the occasional video game with my friends.

See you soon!

I am currently in my fourth-year at the University of Guelph majoring in Biological Sciences. I have been drawn to the field of optometry since grade 10 of high school and my goal is to one day practice optometry myself. I job shadowed Dr. Mark Lukito for three months in the summer of 2018 and grew to love the environment of the office. I was offered a reception position at the office in October 2018 and have been working here part time since then.

Additionally, I have volunteering experience at the University of Waterloo Low Vision Clinic where in the summer of 2019, I helped with the preparation of a research study. I enjoy working with people and helping patients feel welcomed and cared for during their visits.
