How much is an eye exam?


A full comprehensive eye exam costs $150. All OHIP patients are subject to a baseline fundus (retinal) photo which costs an additional $30. Our office is able to bill to most third party insurance companies including: - Sunlife - Manulife Financial - Great West Life/Canada Life - Green Shield - Blue Cross - And much more!




I missed my appointment/am going to miss my appointment, what should I do?


No worries! Please call our office whenever you have time to reschedule your missed appointment for another day. We understand that things can happen, so there's currently no penalty for missing an appointment.




How can I get referred to an opthamologist?


After you come see us for a full comprehensive eye exam, we can refer you to an opthamologist! Our optometrists work hand in hand with the best opthamologists in the City of Guelph and surrounding areas. We would be happy to send in a referral to one of the opthamologists nearby.




Am I covered under OHIP for my eye exam?

I want to start wearing contact lenses, what should I do?


Give our office a call to schedule a full comprehensive eye exam and a contact lens assessment! You must have a glasses prescription with us first before we can fit you into contact lenses. A contact lens assessment is $110.




I am going to be late to my appointment, what should I do?


Please call our office to let us know your estimated time of arrival. We will do our best to keep your appointment but if not, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment to another day that suits you.




How can I get Laser Eye Surgery?


Give us a call to book a consultation! Consultations can last anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. Please bring a driver as you will be dialted for this appointment and the drops can last up to 24 hours. LASIK consultations cost $150.




What kind of frames do you have?


We carry many different brands of frames! Our frames range from $95 to $400+ and we carry designer brands such as Burberry, Prada and Vera Wang as well as the classics like Oakley and Ray Ban! Give us a call if you have any questions or would like a frame ordered in!




Do you direct bill to third party insurance?


We do! Part or all of your eye exam as well as glasses may be covered under your third party insurance! We direct bill to most insurance companies such as Sunlife, Manulife, Great West Life/Canada Life, Green Shield, Blue Cross, Industrial Alliance and more! We highly recommend to check your coverage with your insurance company before your visit so you are aware of what your coverage is like.
